What CVentriX stores
When you create an account, CVentriX can store profile details, saved resumes and editor state, career roadmaps, mock-interview sessions, job-application tracking, account settings and logged-in AI chat history. Contact, newsletter and pricing-update forms store the information you submit so the request can be handled.
Authentication
The current browser client stores its JWT session token in local storage. Protected backend requests use that token to scope account data to the authenticated user. Log out on shared devices and avoid copying your token into messages or public files.
AI processing
The browser sends AI requests to the CVentriX backend. If a server-side OpenAI API key is configured, relevant request text may be sent to OpenAI to generate a response; otherwise the built-in local career engine is used. CVentriX does not require AI provider keys in frontend HTML or JavaScript.
External job sources and libraries
The Jobs page can request public job data from external job feeds and can open an external application URL. Some pages also load fonts, icons or JavaScript libraries from third-party CDNs. Those services may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and browser metadata under their own policies.
Security
Protected API routes use JWT authentication and ownership checks. Production deployments should keep database credentials, JWT secrets, SMTP credentials and AI API keys in environment variables or a secure secret store, not in public source files.
Your data choices
The account dashboard includes profile editing, data export and account deletion. To request help with data access or correction, use the Contact page. Applicable legal rights vary by jurisdiction.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated as the platform changes. Material changes should be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
